Yes. Foreign visitors driving a scooter in Zanzibar need a valid Zanzibar Foreign Driving Permit and must carry it together with their national driving licence whenever riding.
Send us a message on WhatsApp with your rental dates and a photo of your existing Zanzibar Foreign Driving Permit. We will check your permit, confirm scooter availability, and agree on collection or free hotel delivery in Paje or Jambiani.
We can help arrange your Zanzibar Foreign Driving Permit. First, contact us on WhatsApp to check availability and arrange a personal meeting with copies of your passport information page and driving licence, sign the Booking Confirmation & Permit Payment Receipt, and pay USD 20 towards the permit process. Once the permit is obtained, you sign the Scooter Rental Agreement, pay for the rental and collect the scooter.
When arranging a permit through us, you pay USD 20 towards the permit process upon signing the Booking Confirmation & Permit Payment Receipt. Please message us on WhatsApp for any questions regarding your dates.
Scooter availability and your driving permit status must always be checked first. If you already hold a valid Zanzibar Foreign Driving Permit, we can arrange handover once your permit and availability are confirmed. If you need a new permit arranged, please allow approximately one day for the procedure.
Yes. Two helmets are included with every scooter at no extra cost.
Yes. Free delivery is available to accommodations throughout Paje and Jambiani. Delivery must always be arranged and confirmed in advance.
Yes. You are welcome to collect your scooter directly from our location in Jambiani, close to Paje, at an agreed time.
Yes. Every customer signs the final Scooter Rental Agreement and pays for the rental when meeting us before the scooter is handed over.
